"It has to fit under the seat to be free, over the head you have to pay a fee." What is this! The airlines (spiritair.com) are charging for carry-on bags unless it can fit under the seat. This is not the best thing for me (Detroit Urban Jet-Setter). SpiritAir is the best airline for me to travel continuously to New York, California and other states with low fare price tags for my jet-setting spirit, yet my middle-class income. I do have great news for those who only take a small to medium size bag on a flight, with Spiritair, the bag will likely fit under the seat...smiles.
